Once your consultation is scheduled, you will receive a welcome email with important information regarding your first visit with us. Please review all information and make sure to bring your dental insurance information…this will allow us to discuss in detail your benefits and finances if treatment is recommended. As part of your initial visit, patients are asked to provide a complete dental and medical history. If the patient is a minor, we require that a parent or guardian be present for this appointment.
We’re looking forward to meeting you! Our goal is to make your experience with us not only an informative one, but also a fun and comfortable visit. At your initial visit, you will get a chance to meet our team and meet your doctor to discuss your orthodontic concerns and goals for treatment. To provide a customized treatment plan, your doctor and treatment coordinator will complete an examination, take and review x-rays and photographs of your teeth and bite, and will discuss benefits of orthodontic treatment for you. Many of your questions (including treatment options, treatment time, financing, and insurance) can be answered at this appointment, and we encourage you to ask about any of your concerns.
If orthodontic treatment is recommended, our treatment coordinator will review your treatment plan, discuss financing options (including dental insurance coverage), and can schedule your next appointment to begin your treatment. If no treatment is needed at the time of your initial exam, but there is a benefit to treatment at a later time (once more teeth are present, once the patient is growing more, once dental treatment is complete with your dentist), we will recommend scheduling a follow-up observation appointment to monitor growth and development and tooth eruption. These visits are just as important as your initial exam (see our Kids page under the Patient Information tab).
We appreciate this opportunity to share with you our office’s commitment to excellent orthodontic care! Please don’t hesitate to call us with any additional questions prior to your initial visit, and make sure to connect with us on Facebook and Instagram to learn more about our office!
